There may be another OpenSea exploit/phishing scam ongoing currently. A recently created wallet has been liquidating blue-chip collections such as Clone-X, HAPE, CyberKongs, MAYC, Nanopass, and more. The wallet was created roughly an hour before the exploit and has drained 58 ETH (~$147,000) with 8 stolen NFTs left to sell.

Markets continue their downtrend with Ethereum hitting an intraday low of $2,505.62 USD. OpenSea trading volume is slightly lower at $68.57M USD (-1.32%).

For the Layer 2 Maxis, EIP-2981 (NFT royalties standard) is being re-written in Cairo for StarkNet - an Ethereum scaling solution based on zero-knowledge roll-ups. This brings us one step closer to moving NFTs from L1 to L2, thereby, enabling greater scalability due to lower gas fees - possibly even gas-free transactions due to innovations on StarkNet. (Source)
